When Céline offered to record this collection of my best known songs, as well as four new composition, I was truly honored. As a result, this album was a resounding success in the major French-speaking countries throughout Europe, spawning two smash hit songs in "Ziggy" and "L'amour existe encore". Working with Céline in the studio was incredible experience. She recorded one song a day for ten straight day.....live oof the floor....and with no rehearsals. Her raw emotion was captured instantaneously. It was "one take" perfection! I'm so happy that American audiences will now have the opportunity to hear Céline sing in her native tongue. • Il est rare, de nos jours, qu'un interprète francophone ose reprendre des chansons "crèèes" par d'autres, contrairemente aux grands artistes américans, comme Streisand, qui s'en font un défi personnel et permanent. C'st un cadeau merveilleux pour un auteur. Cadeau pour cadeau, j'ai offert à Céline quatre nouvelles chansons sue des musiques de: Richard Cocciante, Romano Musumarra, Erown et Aldo Nova; mais ce disque est aussi un coup de chapeau à mes trois complices de toujours: Michel Berger (pour musiques de Starmania), Germain Gauthier et François Cousineau (avec qui j'ai écrit pour Dufresne et Thibeault entre autres). Sans leurs musiques, mes mots ne seraient que des paroles en l'air....... J'ai vécu de grand moments d'émotion et d'admiration à regarder Céline travailler et à l'écouter chanter. L'intelligence et la connaissance qu'elle a de son métier de chanteuse m'ont renversé. C'est la voix à l'état per, armée d'un professionnlasme de top niveau. Si pour Celine l'enjeu était de surapasser ou d'égaler des interprétations célèbres, la mien était, dans mes nouvelles chansons, de me mesurer à moi meme!!! Mais n'est-ce pas le challenge quotidien du créateur....... Luc Plamandon
