1984 Céline records her first solidarity TV message for Cystic
Fibrosis with her niece Karine.
1985 Céline takes part in a benefit gala at Ottawa and follows a
special match between Montrèal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers.
1986 The song "Melanie"
associated to the foundation for the cystic fibrosis, wins several important
prizes.
1987 Céline records a TV message with Caroline Pazzy, suffering
for cystic fibrosis.
1988 Céline perform a benefic concert at CEGEP
Edouard-Montpetit and at the multi-purpose Andrè-Laurendeau of Saint-Hubert,
in Québec
1989 Céline announces two important press conferences: in August
the discovery of the anomalous gene for the cystic fibrosis, and in September the
first
transplant of lung in Québec, with
a patient suffering of cystic fibrosis.
1990 Céline takes part in a benefit TV gala "Against the cystic
fibrosis - A gift of love" organized by Mila Mulroney and produced by David Foster, Christopher Plummer
and other celebrities.
Céline records a message for the collection of funds for AQFK.
1991 Céline records a video for TV for the 1991 campaign of AQFK.
To celebrate her firsts ten years of career, she perform a benefit concert
at "Montrèal Forum" and at "Agora De Québec"
1993 In May, Karine unfortunately loses her fight against cystic
fibrosis and dies in Céline arms.
In August, Céline gives up her role in AQKF and accepts the role of famous
godmother of the Canadian Foundation of Cystic Fibrosis.
1994 Céline takes part in the national campaign of the foundation
with Chanelle Lemieux Lecavalier.
In December she gives a benefit concert at Montreal's Palais
des Congrès
To celebrate their marriage, Céline and Renè ask to their guests to give
donations to the foundation against the cystic fibrosis.
1996 On 10th December, Céline perform another concert at Montrèal's
Palais des Congrès, and a gala dinner as well. During this event, she announces
that she will promote the "Royal Airlines", the payment of that will be donated
to the foundation.
1997 Céline very generously gifts her performances at New York City Concert,
at Disney's World and her participation at the TV sit-comedy "La Tata",
at the "Foundation's SPARX programme".
