More than just a summary of her many hits, A New Day ... is a sprawling entertainment experience, deftly blending concert, dance, theater and multimedia effects. Inspired when she saw
Cirque du Soleil’s “O” at Bellagio, Dion sought Cirque alumnus Franco Dragone to help create the masterpiece. Each song has a distinct motif—romantic, haunting, playful, hopeful. Exquisite
images are projected onto a massive LED screen and float through the air, while performers glide across the stage. Dion shows a knack for dancing, a heart for performing and a certain
whimsical spirit that is somehow fresh and endearing. At the center of it all is a powerful, elegant voice, and a woman thankful for the opportunity and
eager to take on new challenges.
“For five years I’ve been protected and focused on my surroundings—home, dressing room, home, bowling with my son, Chuck E. Cheese,” Dion recently told Newsweek.
“It’s like I’m doing show business for the first time in my life.” A grueling international tour opens in South Africa on Feb. 14, winds back to North America in the fall and concludes in January
2009. From there is anyone’s guess: Settling down in Florida with another baby? A return to Las Vegas? A movie career?
Tickets are trickling down to a precious few for the last performances of A New Day ... beginning Nov. 29 and concluding on Dec. 15, in what is sure to be an emotional farewell.
“It seems like the time has flown by,” Dion said earlier this year. “So now, you sort of cherish every moment, every show, because you know the end is coming soon. There’s a countdown
we’re all feeling inside, and it gives us a little bit more anticipation and nervous energy.”
Others, notably Bette Midler and Elton John, will fill the Colosseum’s stage when Dion leaves. But she advanced the evolution of Las Vegas entertainment and A New Day ... will continue to be the
standard of how other productions are measured for years to come.

Celine Dion sets out in a bold new creative direction with Taking Chances, perhaps the most personal and revelatory collection of songs and performances in her fabled career. Fans around
the world have embraced this new era in Céline's extraordinary career with sales around the world placing Taking Chances in the Top 10 sales charts in well over a dozen countries, including
No. 2 chart debuts in France, Japan, Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden, and propelling the album to the number No. 1 position on Billboard's pan-European top 100 sales chart.
On December 15th, 2007, Céline Dion's record breaking engagement of A NEW DAY... at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, ends its remarkable journey of five consecutive years
of sold-out performances, playing to nearly 3 million people. She embarks on her Taking Chances World Tour with stops in Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe, before returning to the US and
Canada in summer 2008. Céline Dion was recently bestowed the 2007 World Music Awards' - Legend Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music - honouring "a top recording artist in recognition
of their global success and outstanding contribution to the music industry."

Known for her soaring ballads, Dion's newest music on the " Taking Chances " album - her first studio album in four years - is certainly ground-breaking; there are several tracks where she
sounds more like a rock star than an easy-listening star (though her steadfast fans will find several ballads as well). The new attitude, she told Early Show anchor Harry Smith, is the
result of "the maturity, the experience, motherhood - blame it on everything that you want to, but it's all that. And, you know what? It feels amazing. It feels amazing and it feels - I feel it
when I shop, I feel it when I walk on the street, when I'm home with my family, when I put up my Christmas tree. I feel it all the time, and I feel it when I sing, too."
Dion, who will turn 40 next year, is about to end a four-year run at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, where she has performed her " A New Day" show to sell-out crowds. She will go on a
year-long international tour next year. Dion has been married to her manager, Rene Angélil, since December, 1994; they have a son, Rene-Charles, born in January, 2001.
" Taking Chances ," she told Smith, has "a different approach and different sounds. You always love to please as many people as possible. We had a good time" making the album, she said.

Secondo i dati compilati dalla Nielsen SoundScan, il nuovo album di Céline, "Taking Chances", debutta al TERZO posto nella classifica
degli album più venduti di questa settimana negli Stati Uniti con 214.000 copie vendute. "One Heart" (2003) e "A New Day Has Come" (2002), al
loro debutto, avevano venduto rispettivamente 432.000 copie vendute e 527.000 copie.
(8:20 p.m. GMT)
According to Nielsen SoundScan, Céline's new album: "Taking Chances", makes its debut at #3 of this week's best-selling album chart in
the U.S.A. selling 214,000 copies. "One Heart" (2003) and "A New Day Has Come" (2002), at their U.S. week-debuts, sold respectively
432,000 and 527,000 copies. Who is she dreaming about as a possible partner? Maks? Tony? Jonathan? "I want all of them," she says slyly. Dion says she's not kidding. Six of the show's professionals danced in
front of her as she sang — including Tony Dovolani, Cheryl Burke, Mark Ballas and Karina Smirnoff — and Dion says she had trouble concentrating on her lyrics. "I was having a hard time singing
because I was like, 'Oh, I want a dress just like that! Oh, I want a flower, too. Oh, my god, I want a body like that. I wish I could dance like that as I sing the song.' But it's impossible. It's one or
the other. But I was imagining that the dancers were me."
She sways backstage, moving her arms, as if auditioning for the gig. Then she starts singing the familiar lyrics. "Near. Far..." Dion starts laughing, and then goes into a funky rendition of
" Proud Mary ," still dancing. She says she only had a smattering of ballet training as a kid, not nearly enough to make her proficient now. She says her husband tapes the show for her and she
watches it with their 4-year-old son. "I'm a tremendous fan," she says.
Dancing's casting director, Deena Katz, stands nearby, just out of earshot. Tell her that Dion wants to be a contestant and she immediately notes the long-term commitment. The months
of preparation and competition may be impossible for someone like Dion, who is about to leave her long-term Las Vegas show and begin a world tour in support of a new album. "Wait until I tell her
that it's 14 weeks," says Katz. Katz says she's heard it before from guest artists, including Lionel Richie. "But I know Celine loves the show," says Katz. "So we'll be sending Rene [Angelil, Dion's
husband and manager] an offer tomorrow." "Celine is amazing," says pro Mark Ballas after the show. "So gracious. A lot of guest artists, they don't even acknowledge you. But Celine,
she thanked us. She talked to everybody."

(11:30 p.m. GMT) Former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart co-wrote the record, Taking Chances. Dave Stewart has come a long way since his days of being bullied because of his passion
for folk music and the songs of Bob Dylan. Jumping on trains to unknown destinations was teenage Dave's way of escaping his unhappiness – using the journeys to dream of a better future. Today, he
doesn't have to dream. After the success of the Eurythmics in the 1980s, he has turned his hand to everything from acting to producing. And his latest work – co-writing singing superstar Celine Dion's
new album Taking Chances – is now winning rave reviews around the world."Celine heard a song from an, as yet, unreleased album of mine and flipped out over it," said Dave, who now lives in Los Angeles. The song, Taking Chances, was originally written
for Dave's latest duo, Platinum Weird, which he formed with Kara DioGuardi in 2004. However, Canadian-born Celine, who scored a worldwide Number One hit with the theme tune to Titanic,
was determined to make it her own. "She and her husband, Renee, said that this was the song to launch her album and world tour as soon as they heard it!" said Dave.
The album, released just last week, is riding high in both the American and British charts – as is the single of Taking Chances. Also attracting hits by the thousand on the Internet is
the song's video, which features an appearance by Dave – in his trademark sunglasses. "I was driving to my studio about a month or so ago and my phone rang and it was Renee saying Celine wanted to
talk to me," he said. "She asked me if I would be in her video and I said yes. I play a kind of enigmatic 'boss' character from a James Bond movie.
"We shot it in the desert and it was 100 degrees with no shade. I was wearing a black suit, so was rather hot under the collar, as they say."

Dion stopped chatting long enough to watch Chris Brown's performance on a backstage monitor. She hung on the microphone and swayed to the music as the R&B hotshot performed "Kiss, Kiss"
with T-Pain. "Oh my God!" Dion shrieked as Brown ended up in the rafters attached by cables while performing Michael Jackson-esque dance moves. "It's amazing.
He's the most brilliant dancer. I wonder if he comes up with his own choreography," she said. Dion had admirers of her own among the other performers. "I'm a closet Celine Dion fan," said
Chris Daughtry, the former "American Idol" contestant who won three trophies.
Singer Kid Rock poked fun at his brawling reputation at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles when he picked a fight with show host, comic Jimmy Kimmel. Kid Rock
pretended to be upset when he returned to his seat at the AMAs to find Kimmel had taken his place - next to Celine Dion. Angry Rock snapped, "You're in my seat, get up," prompting Kimmel,
who then put his arm around Dion, to retort, "I know what this is about; just because Celine and I were married and you and Celine were married too doesn't mean there has to be
trouble between us." (Remembering what happened at the MTV Video Music Awards in last September when Kid Rock had a spat with Tommy Lee, both married with
Pamela Anderson).
Point of curiosity: Celine asked an autograph to the pop/rock group Jonas Brothers for her little kid Rene-Charles, who adores them.
Celine will perform on August 15th, 16th, 19th and 20th, then she will join the concert for the 400th anniversary celebrations of Quebec City on
August 22nd. The adding of a FIFTH date in Montreal on August 23rd it's not impossible! If Celine management will add one more show it will announce the news
tomorrow and tickets will go on sale next saturday.
"Halifax mayor asked us to organize a Celine concert next summer. We accepted. Then, before the date of going on sale of tickets, few journalists reported that it was a place for
Rolling Stones, for rock-music, not for Celine! - explains Angelil - in the meantime we sold 54,000 tickets in Dublin. If we're not welcomed in Halifax, then we won't go!"
Los Angeles
Céline Dion is in Los Angeles now, where she will perform Taking Chances with her Quebec band on the stage of
American Music Awards. Tomorrow, she will tape a segment for Dancing With the Stars that will be broadcasted on November 27 on ABC. And
on November 20, she will also tape a "movie" as intro of her upcoming world-tour directed by Jamie King, who worked with Madonna and Christina Aguilera.

On Friday, November 23rd, Celine will also join CBS's The Early Show. "Coming up later this week: sensational performance from Celine Dion."

Dion may be best known for belting out the power ballads, but it's rock 'n' roll she grooves to most, she insists as she declares a change in musical direction with her new disc, " Taking Chances ."
The Quebec chanteuse, whose Disney hits and saccharine tunes have made her persona non grata on rock radio and hipster hit lists, says it's the grittier stuff that inspired her earliest musical passions and
her latest batch of songs. "Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy singing ballads - a lot," Dion says during an interview with The Canadian Press in New York City, just the latest stop in a global media
blitz for the new disc.
"But this time, you know with this new approach...I'm realizing how much I love (the new direction). How much it's part and closer to my childhood music. Listening to my brothers and sisters in the
basement of the house playing that kind of music - Janis Joplin and Doobie Brothers and Creedence, Stevie Wonder." "I grew up listening to the edgier kind of music, so when I started my career with
ballads, you know I was 12 years old and I was 15 and I was 20 and I started my career and I started to have success with singing ballads. And I kept going on with that. Until songwriters proposed
something else and it was like, 'that's a nice proposition, let's go for it."'
The timing for this stylistic switch couldn't be better. When Dion last released an English-language disc, 2003's "One Heart," the charts were full of like-minded sentimental ballads from acts such as
Avril Lavigne, Coldplay and Dido. These days, radio is dominated by a much harder rock edge, notes Dion's husband and manager, Rene Angelil.
Since recording a string of hits in the 1990s that included "Beauty and the Beast," "If You Asked Me To" and the blockbuster "Titanic" theme "My Heart Will Go On," Dion's domain has remained Adult
Contemporary, but that's starting to change with this disc, says Angelil. "They told us from the start that she wouldn't play on Top 40 radio," Angelil says.
"Now, to the surprise of everyone, she is playing on Top 40 radio, actually the number one station in America is called Z100 here in New York and they've been playing her four
or five times a day, the song "Taking Chances". And (that) has been followed by about 30 more stations in America - Top 40 stations."
The track is getting a fair amount of attention in Dion's homeland, too, but not all of it good, says Toronto radio host Stu Jeffries of EZRock.
Jeffries, former host of the 1980s music video show "Good Rockin' Tonight," says he likes the new direction but predicts a hard sell for Dion's most dedicated fans.
"We got calls from hardcore Celine fans who said, 'You know, I don't like it, but maybe I just need to hear it a couple more times.' And then some that said, 'You know, I really don't like it. I like the old
Celine.' " he said. "We don't usually get that with a Celine Dion track."
The spunk of the lead-off single, co-written by the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, is just a taste of more to come. The disc also features a cover of Heart's 1987 hit "Alone," produced by Evanescence
guitarist Ben Moody; the soulful "I Got Nothin' Left," co-written and co-produced by R&B star Ne-Yo; and the bluesy, raspy-voiced, "That's Just The Woman In Me."
For her part, Dion - decked out in a flowing earth-grey minidress and silver heels - insists there was nothing calculated about changing her tune.
"When we started to talk about recording a new album, I wanted to make sure ...that I was not going to become another person because the industry has changed. It's not because the radio
and the music has changed that you become another person. It doesn't work for me." "I was ready to make a step forward and maybe twist it a little bit if we had to. But surprisingly, I didn't feel
like I had any efforts to make, or an adjustment to make. They proposed me those songs and ...they got even closer to my childhood than ever before. It's even more what I like to sing about.
So I think it was a great way to evolve for my career, for my music. At the same time, does it suit the music industry? I hope for me."
It's been more than four years since Dion has made a run at the charts, having taken up residency in Las Vegas with a successful song-and-dance extravaganza at Caesars Palace.
Now that " A New Day " is winding down, she's wasting no time at a bid for more radio hits. A month-long media tour has included junkets in England, France, Italy and Germany, says Angelil.
On Friday, she was to head to Los Angeles to perform on the American Music Awards. Dion says she's got nothing to prove, but just how she will fare is anyone's guess as she returns to a music market
vastly different from the one she left when she began her Vegas residency in March 2003.
CD sales have plummeted in recent years, and music makers and shakers are no doubt watching carefully to see if Dion can buck the downward trend, says Jeffries.
"They call Sony Records in Canada, they call the entire warehouse in that (Toronto) complex, 'the house that Celine built,' " Jeffries says.
"I'm sure there's a lot of execs that are pretty eager to see the results."
Angelil says no artist will ever match the sales heights that Dion once managed, not even Dion herself.
"Forget it. It won't happen," he says, noting Dion has sold more than 180 million albums worldwide, making her the top female artist of all time.
"It's impossible.... The business is completely changed."
Dion launches a year-long global tour in February, stopping in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America.
Close at hand will be her six-year-old son Rene-Charles. Dion says that once the tour is complete, she and Angelil plan to settle into a new home in Florida and try for another baby.
"We'd love that," says Dion, who underwent in vitro fertilization to conceive Rene-Charles and still has embryos stored in a New York clinic. "We'll rest a little bit and hopefully we can be parents
again."Dion says her son has already indicated his preference for a girl. "I think he's hoping more for a little sister and I always say to him: a healthy child is the most important thing," she says.

(8:40 p.m. GMT) Though she's undeniably warm and gregarious, you can hear a bit of irritation creep into Celine Dion's voice when her years away from the pop music world is referred to as
"time off." "I don't think it was a break," she says politely but firmly. "I worked for five years." Indeed, Dion's " A New Day " concert extravaganza on the Las Vegas strip may
have been more demanding than pop life. The French-Canadian chanteuse performed several days a week in the ambitious, Franco Dragone-directed show, which was heavy on dancing, theatrics and, of
course, Dion's booming voice. The career of Celine Dion the Entertainer was vibrant and thriving. But, for all practical purposes, the career of Celine Dion the Pop Diva was all but dormant where it once had its biggest impact - the recording industry.
While thousands packed Caesars' Palace to hear her sing every night, Dion - who has sold 50 million albums in the United States alone since her 1990 debut, and had one of the biggest
songs in pop history with "My Heart Will Go On" - disappeared from the charts. Though she released a French-language album and a CD to accompany an Anne Geddes photo book titled
" Miracle ," Dion decided not to put out a pop disc during her Las Vegas tenure. Her last proper studio album release was 2003's double-platinum " One Heart ," released just as the show
began. So, as " A New Day " winds down this year and she releases her comeback record, " Taking Chances ," this week, Dion finds herself in many ways starting over, trying to
reclaim her place after being a pop queen in exile.
"She's more nervous than she was before. The fact that she hasn't been in the pop arena for five years, she's pretty nervous about it - and me too by the way," says her husband and manager,
Rene Angelil. "We don't know if people will accept her, if the fans are still there. We know that she has fans . . . (but) a lot of things have changed in the music business in the last five years."
Something else has changed as well: Dion's sound. The woman known (and often parodied) for her bombastic love ballads now has a harder edge to her music. Some of the songs are decidedly
uptempo and would fit in easily on a Kelly Clarkson CD, with their emphasis on heavy guitars. And, on the album's most intriguing track, " That's Just The Woman in Me ," Dion sounds like she's
singing in some nefarious dive bar. Growling her way through the blues belter, she blows away her reputation for sometimes saccharine material.
Even the album's first single, the ballad " Taking Chances ," seems more mainstream pop than her usual adult contemporary vibe - like a calculated attempt to capture new listeners.
But Dion, 39, says she wasn't intentionally trying to change her sound. "I picked those (songs) without knowing that it was very different, to be honest with you," she said via
phone after taping an episode of " The Oprah Winfrey Show ," part of a high-profile media blitz planned for the week of the CD's release.
"When I went in the studio and I sang them I just enjoyed myself so much. And now I listen to it and I notice it's definitely edgier but this is where I am right now," she adds.
"I'm not a new Celine but it's just that I've evolved and this is where I am in my life and my career right now . . . the feeling that I feel. I'm definitely more mature and more grounded."
John Shanks, who produced several songs on " Taking Chances ," including the title cut, says her new sound shows "she's viable and that she is competitive."
"It shows that there are many sides to her and it's just how she's been showcased in the past . . . I don't think she's chasing anything at all, she's not chasing a sound. I think it's a very natural
growth." But, after being gone from the pop scene for so long, even a new sound may not be enough to connect with listeners.
So far, the acoustic-leaning single " Taking Chances " hasn't registered on the pop charts, although it's at No. 11 on the adult contemporary
charts. One station that is taking a chance on
" Taking Chances " is New York's top 40 radio station Z100. Sharon Datsur, the program director, says the typical response from listeners is "shock that it's Celine Dion,
first of all, and then they say, 'Wow, I love the song.' " Though the first single has been slow to catch on at other radio stations, Datsur said the album, which includes production by R&B
singer-songwriter Ne-Yo, rocker Ben Moody and Linda Perry, is the smart way to reintroduce Dion and create a different identity with the audience.
"I've listened to the whole album and they did this really smartly. They are working with some of the top producers that have produced some of the biggest pop hits in the last five, 10 years,"
she says. "For so many years, a lot of people kind of associated her with adult contemporary - an older audience."
While Dion admits to being "more nervous" about her new album than past one, she's also quick to assert that she's not obsessed with trying to recapture the multi-platinum status of her glory years.
Part of the reason for that is also the reason she planted herself in Las Vegas for five years: her six-year-old son, Rene-Charles.
"I do worry, but for the important things," she says forcefully before a recent performance at Caesars Palace. "My priorities changed since I became a mommy. I love to sing, I love to
perform - (but) it is not my life." To that end, Dion and Angelil are already looking past the next year, during which she plans a major world tour, and planning to add to their family. "This is our
big project," Angelil says. In fact, Dion, who is quick to point out that she has been working pretty much straight for the past 25 years, is looking forward to her next hiatus from the pop arena - when
she will truly have a real break. "I miss to be home, we're building a house right now," she says wistfully. "I'm about to meet my life soon, you know, so that's what I miss the most."

The tour announcement is music to Goodrem's ears - not only because she has idolised Dion since childhood, but because the pair's recent musical collaboration means a combined performance
is likely when the diva hits town. In a professional and financial boon for the Sydney star, Dion recently recorded a track Goodrem penned for inclusion on the Canadian crooner's comeback album,
. Goodrem wrote Eyes On Me last year with Swedish hitmaker Kristian Lundin, but it didn't make it on to her album Delta - with Dion instead taking the opportunity to
record it.
While both large-lunged ladies are signed to the same record company at Sony BMG, the approach is likely to come from Dion's US management. "It's early days but the
opportunity is definitely there - Australia is one of Celine's best selling territories so it would make sense,'' a Sony BMG spokeswoman said.
Goodrem met her idol for the first time in January this year, when the pop princess and her boyfriend Bryan McFadden popped backstage for a quick meet and greet following one of Dion's Vegas
shows.
"Delta is such a huge fan of Celine's and it was a total highlight for her song to be included on the album,'' Goodrem's manager said. "If their schedules allow for it we'll make every effort
to connect with Celine - Delta would be beside herself.''

(12:p.m. GMT) As her five-year engagement in Vegas nears its end, the record industry looks to her new CD with hope, while her fans circle concert dates on calendars
With her five-year stint performing exclusively in Las Vegas almost complete, Quebec songbird Céline Dion launches a new album today that, combined with an international tour, is set to reacquaint her
with a legion of fans worldwide. And with CD sales slumping, the industry is happy to have her back, especially since Dion's fans are more likely to actually buy her CD than download it from the
Internet. She's such a commercial force that other artists with new CDs – such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and the Spice Girls – for one reason or another all found other days to release
their latest works. Veteran music biz journalist Larry LeBlanc, who has heard an advance copy of Dion's new studio album, Taking Chances – her first major release since 2004 – said he
expects it will propel her back into the public consciousness.
"It's a really, really good album. It's a much more aggressive album. I wouldn't say it's a rock album, but it certainly has rock rhythms, whereas before she was purely a pop artist,"
LeBlanc said. "Each album has been a little bit different. She takes chances and not a lot of artists do. Look at the timing of this record ... six weeks before Christmas. I think you'll see very good
first-week sales."
Details of Dion's 45-date North American concert tour have just been released, kicking off in Boston on Aug. 12 next year. Two concert dates at Toronto's Air Canada Centre are slated for
Aug. 27 and 28. A huge outdoor concert is scheduled for Halifax on Aug. 23, as well as a free outdoor show Aug. 22 on the historic Plains of Abraham in Quebec, part of Quebec City's 400th
anniversary celebrations next year.
The publicity machine is already cranking up for Dion, who got the full Oprah treatment yesterday, complete with film clips of her son and husband and duets with teary-eyed audience
members. With her five years of performing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas set to end next month, there's a genuine curiosity among Dion's fans about the live tour to see "how much of Vegas is
coming with her in terms of the show and how it's going to look," LeBlanc said.
With record sales industry-wide relatively flat in recent years – in part due to Internet downloading – LeBlanc said Dion is among the few artists who can buck the trend.
"What people forget is (Dion) is a world artist and there aren't many that are actually world artists. There are actually only a handful. She sells in every country of the world, she has a huge Asian
base, a huge South American base, Europe of course," LeBlanc said.
CD REVIEW: Taking Chances *** (Columbia/Sony BMG) , Dion's 10th album, finds her doing just that. Sure, there are several of the sentimental, cringe-worthy diva tracks –
"My Love," "Alone" – that have made it acceptable sport to scoff at the biggest-selling female artist of all time (180 million records). But the 17-track disc also finds the Quebec native tempering her five
octaves, exuding a darker, grittier vibe ("That's Just the Woman in Me"), gospel inflection ("New Dawn") and urban pop bounce ("Eyes On Me"), channelling her inner Janis Joplin, Patti LaBelle and
Shakira, respectively.
With an obvious reach for contemporary radio, Dion padded the efforts of longtime collaborators with in-the-now hitmakers: Ne-Yo, Linda Perry and Ben Moody, who co-wrote the
self-empowering anthem "This Time" about an abused woman breaking free. The result is an edgier rock sound that won't alienate loyal fans, but may engage some new ones.
Top track: With a lovely melody and simple folk instrumentation, "Right Next to the Right One" showcases Dion's flawless pipes.

She will be onstage with several top performers during this unique concert. "Today, we are extremely proud to announce the participation of Ms. Dion in the 2008 celebrations. We are aware
of the special ties she has with the population of Québec City, ties that run both ways. It is an extraordinary privilege to host this outstanding artist for the 2008 festivities and we are very happy to be able to
offer this birthday gift to the people of Québec City," stated Pierre Boulanger.
The international superstar is thrilled with the idea of singing in Québec City at this memorable event during which she will obviously play a major role. Céline Dion insisted on offering a free
performance as evidence of her warm regards for Québec City and its residents. The names of the artists and program for the show will be released at a later date.

300 people, above all Celine fans, were there to welcome the Quebec-born diva. Celine and Oprah talked about many things: the end of A New Day...,
about her being mom and about the death of her beloved dad, a very touching moment where they also showed few footages from that night's A New Day...
Besides, Celine stunned all the in-studio audience performing SIX songs, among which Taking Chances and Alone.

Still, authenticity commands Dion's mission. The midtempo rock title track is destined for AC's top 10, while other radio triumphs include the empowering " My Love " and a rowdy
cover of Heart's " Alone. " Also noteworthy are the Janis Joplin-esque " That's Just the Woman in Me " and " This Time ," a chilling socially conscious rock ballad about a battered
woman. Packing an emotional wallop, "Chances" should quash critics who insist that Dion's voice is stainless steel. — by Chuck Taylor

all'ultima replica, il 15 dicembre.

(12:30 p.m. GMT) It's time to promote the album in Italy so that Celine will meet Italian medias in ROME today. She will also tape a special appearance at
"Domenica In" show. This segment should be broadcasted on this coming Sunday, November 11th on the Italian TV-Network RaiUno.
But while more than three million people have seen the show itself, few have witnessed the antics that take
place behind the scenes. Until now. Spend 'A New Day' with Celine as she takes the cameras along for a hectic (and wildly amusing) ride backstage for her upcoming live DVD.
