American TV show "Touched By An Angel" aired on November 15, 1998 in the U.S.A. A boy, Petey, is affected by
Cystic Fibrosis. His best friend, Céline, is Celine Dion’s number one fan. Petey, with Monica’s (one of the angels) help,
begins to compile a list of the things he wants to do before he dies. One of his items includes: introducing Celine to the real Celine Dion.
Celine is blindfolded and taken to a concert hall to meet Celine Dion in her dressing room before the show. Celine Dion tells Petey and Celine,
who is in shock, that she will sing a special song for them. Later during the concert she sings “Love Can Move Mountains” to the children. At the end
of the concert Petey becomes very sick and, at the hospital, Audrey comes to the realization that Petey will soon die. 'Love Can Move Mountains' performance

rises at #7 (from #12) on this week's Best-selling Book chart in the
U.S.A. in the "Hardcover Nonfiction" category. Rankings, compiled by New York Times,
reflect sales, for the week ending October 23, at almost 4,000 bookstores plus wholesalers serving 50,000 other retailers (gift shops, department stores,
newsstands, supermarkets), statistically weighted to represent all such outlets nationwide.

the videos from the "Larry King Live", "Second Regard" etc. etc.The tale begins just over a year ago. In September, 2003, things were looking pretty glum for Air Canada, and by extension for
Marketel, the airline's Montreal-based advertising agency of record. (Ad agencies do not make a lot of money from clients in bankruptcy protection.)
And so sat Marketel, doing seat-sale ads, while its largest client, Air Canada, looked for a way out of a complicated mess.
"There was no way we could approach them about doing a corporate campaign at that point," said Mr. Duval. "So I thought, either we sit and wait for an
eventual brief, or we think outside of the box." So think he did. About songs. "I thought, why don't we write something that is joyful, about flying."
There are two important things to know about Mr. Duval in the context of this story, or more precisely, two people: Celine Dion and Rene Angelil,
Ms. Dion's manager husband. Turns out they are close personal friends of his. Such good friends he simply called up Mr. Angelil one day with a little
ditty that he just couldn't get out of his head. With that call he was on his way to getting one of the world's most recognized singers behind an ad campaign that
might never happen for an airline that might well go out of business.
"I said to Rene, 'I have this line, You and I were meant to fly' and I hummed it for him ... and described the song I wanted." Mr. Angelil suggested
Mr. Duval go to Aldo Nova, a Canadian songwriter living in Ireland, to write a complete song. Mr. Nova wrote the lyrics and music and soon after the
song was recorded by a singer who had a similar voice to Ms. Dion's. "It was recorded in Sweden because we needed to keep it quiet," explains Mr.
Duval. "And then we presented it to Celine and Rene, and they thought it had potential." Ms. Dion recorded the song in Las Vegas in March 2004
and it was mixed in New York City shortly after. "We were very happy with the result. So we had to sell the idea to Sony Music (Ms. Dion's label).
We approached them with the song and they said, 'well, there's no album scheduled to be released.' "
And then out of the blue in April, Sony changed its mind. It made the decision to release "Live in Las Vegas," in June. From there, things really started
to happen. Mr. Duval asked if the "not live"You and I Were Meant to Fly could be included on the album. Sony agreed, saying it could be one of two bonus
tracks. Soon after, it decided to promote the song as a single.
The video was shot in July, began playing on Much Music in August and was on Air Canada's in-flight entertainment by mid-September.
All before the client ever gave the green light for a campaign. As far as the decision not to include Céline in the spots (even if Mr. Duval thinks
Celine Dion, with her global appeal, is the best corporate ambassador the airline could have) Duval says: "We wanted the customers
to be the heroes. It's about them as opposed to (Air Canada). There's been so much that's negative, written about Air Canada. We wanted to remind people
that we're in business for them."

A new block of tickets for Céline's spectacular show 'A New Day...' will be going on sale to the
