:: Win Celine tickets, support the Rotary ::
(9:00 a.m. GMT) Now that her “A New Day” show has finished a four-year run at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Celine Dion is back on tour.
The North Andover Rotary Club is offering a chance to see the international performer on Wednesday, Aug. 13, through its fundraiser drawing. Six lucky winners will be escorted by limo to the 8 p.m. show at TD Banknorth Garden, complete with a champagne party enroute.
“These six seats at the concert are prime seats in a great location,” said Steve Daly, Rotary member and past president. “The grand prize drawing will be
on July 31 at a location yet to be announced.”
Tickets cost $10 each, with six tickets for $50 and 14 for $100. All proceeds from the drawing will go to the Rotary’s charitable trust, which funds
high school scholarships, the annual Ghoul School and bike bank, Rotary Youth Exchange, cleft lip and palate surgeries and polio vaccinations, Habitat for
Humanity and ShelterBox, a Rotary-sponsored emergency kit for disaster-stricken areas worldwide.
To purchase tickets, call Steve Daly at 978-257-0139 or stop outside the Post Office Saturday mornings between 9 a.m. and noon starting June 28, where
Rotary members will be selling tickets. The drawing is open to non-residents, so long as they’re in the Merrimack Valley the day of the concert for
the limo to pick them up.
“I sold some Celine Dion tickets to Montreal residents from my company’s corporate office,” Daly said. “They love her and were more than willing to travel
to see her.”

They ranked respectively at #1 and #2 with 17% and 11%, Dalai Lama ranked in third position. Quebec women named Celine her idol with
17% while men placed her at #6.

(9:30 p.m. GMT) There are more news about the free concert that Celine Dion will give on The Plaines of Abraham in Quebec City on August 22nd, 2008.
It will be a concert exclusively in French, Celine will sing few of her greatest hits and then she will perform a duet with each of her special guests: Claude Dubois, Zachary Richard, Eric
Lapointe, Garou, Nanette Workman, Marc Dupré, Dan Bigras, Mes Aieux group, The Dions and Jean-Pierre Ferland. They will be accompanied
by an orchestra of 25 musicians directed by Scott Price. The show, entitled "Céline sur les Plaines" will be directed by Josée Fortier.

million (down from last year's $45 million). She ranks #7 on the Best Paid Musicians chart behind Beyoncé (US$ 80m), The Police (US$ 115m), J. Timberlake (US$ 44m),
Madonna (US$ 40m), 50 Cent (US$ 150m) and Kanye West (US$ 30m). Pay Rank: #29 (last year: #15), Web Rank: #27 (#20), Press Rank: #44 (#59), TV/Radio Rank:
#54 (#65).
This is a chart based not only on the celebrities' earning within the last 12 months. Rankings are generated by combining earnings with other metrics: Web mentions on Google press clips compiled by
