(7:30 a.m. GMT) Thousands of people attended last night's Opening Ceremonies for the First Outgames in Montreal (Québec), including about 12,000 LGBT athletes.
At Olympic Stadium Saturday night more than 40,000 people celebrated the opening of the Outgames in a show headlined by k. d. lang that also featured Cirque
du Soleil.
Céline Dion appeared in a video message (both in english and in french). She said that the Outgames are a very special occasion to celebrate LOVE that unites everybody,
an occasion to celebrate the respect of human rights, an unforgettable moment in the fight for tolerance. The show was televised live nationally on
the French language network of the CBC.

in Casino Player's Best of Gaming Awards, the magazine's annual poll of gaming customers from across the country. Harrah's casinos received 228
first-place awards and 562 total awards in the 2006 competition.
Caesars Palace headliners Céline Dion and Elton John capturing the top two spots for "Best Headliners" in Las Vegas. Céline received

EXCLUSIVE: News About Last Friday's Charity Event
(3:35 p.m. GMT) As you already know, Céline and René organized a charity event in Montreal (Quebec) last Friday. Here are more
details about the event: Céline was supposed to sing starting at 9pm but she was late and started at 9:35. She sang only French songs
but she ended with "My Heart Will Go On". She sang for a little more than 1 hour. She sang two songs with Marc Dupré. She didn`t play
golf and she wasn`t at the dinner... she just did her concert then left. She was wearing tight white pants and looked absolutely gorgeous.
There was an auction for a trip to Vegas to play golf with René and some other proefssional golfman and then to see Céline`s show and backstage passes,
and a man paid around $185,000 for it!

their summer holidays in the Canadian province of Québec with their son René-Charles. The famous couple has organized a charity
event to raise money on behalf of the Céline Dion Foundation that will take place on this coming Friday in Montreal.
Céline will also perform for 600 guests at the Golf Club "Le Mirage". Quebec singer, Garou, will also join

Best Entertainer for Southern Nevada
(7:30 a.m. GMT) The 'Nevada Magazine' released its annual Best of Nevada winners in its July/August issue, on newsstands now.
Ballots for the contest were included in a previous issue of the magazine, allowing readers to select their favorites in 43 categories. Editor Joyce Hollister said
one of the biggest changes this year was the selection of singer Céline Dion as best entertainer for Southern Nevada.
Dion beat out longtime favorite Wayne Newton for the honor after the performers tied last year. Comedian/singer Danny Marona got the nod for the northern
region for the fifth time in the last six years.
