According to Billboard, Céline's shows from January 11th to Jan. 14th are at the
FIRST position of this week's Billboard Boxscore Concert Grosses (the chart of concert
grosses in the WORLD). Gross Sales: US$ 2,744,598; Shows/ Sellouts: 2 out of 4,
Attend/Capacity: 16,151 out of 16,592. With these shows, Céline's sold-out shows are 425 out of 609 performed shows.
Nearly two-and-a-half million people have experienced A New Day… since March 2003.All of the artists participating in We All Love Ennio Morricone have a special connection to Morricone’s music. Many of them have previously recorded Morricone's songs, performed his music onstage, or used his pieces
as overtures to concerts, including Celine Dion, Quincy Jones featuring Herbie Hancock, Bruce Springsteen, Andrea Bocelli, Metallica, Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming, Daniel Mercury featuring
Eumir Deodato, Dulce Pontes, Chris Botti, Vanessa and the O's, Roger Waters, Denyce Graves, and Taro Hakase.
Céline Dion and legendary producer Quincy Jones teamed up on this tribute album for the first time . Dion and Jones got together at the Palms recording studios on
September 26th, 2006 for a special record. Oscar-winning lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman wrote the lyrics for the song, titled "I Knew I Loved You," which didn't have
lyrics in director Sergio Leone's 1984 film "Once Upon a Time in America," starring Robert DeNiro and James Woods.
Céline will hand the Ceeb another big audience not unlike BAP's Shania: A Life in Eight Albums, about country star Shania Twain, which grabbed 1.2 million viewers on
Nov. 7, 2005. "The thing with Céline and Shania is that they were young girls with raw talent who made it, despite the odds. It's an inspirational story," Mawhinney says.
Filming is set to commence in March in Ontario, though BAP has yet to lock a director.

Nearly two-and-a-half million people have experienced A New Day… since March 2003.Oprah Winfrey tops Forbes magazine's first-ever list of the 20 Richest Women in Entertainment. Forbes figures that Winfrey has made $1.5 billion in her career. "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling is
next with $1 billion, and Martha Stewart is third with $638 million. Madonna ranks fourth with $325 million, followed by Celine Dion, who's made an estimated $250 million.
"The Canadian chanteuse's exclusive five-year gig at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas has vaulted her into fifth place on our list of The 20 Richest Women in Entertainment. Dion's
stationary extravaganza is more profitable than one that requires paying roadies in every major city in the world. An estimated 140 million albums sold worldwide hasn't hurt her bottom line
either; her single "My Heart Will Go On"--the theme song for the blockbuster Titanic--sold over 15 million copies alone."
Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston round out the top ten.

-The top two selling artists in Canada during the SoundScan era are both native Canadians; Celine Dion (6.2 million albums sold) and Shania Twain (4.2 million albums sold). --
These same two artists have the biggest selling albums for Canada in the SoundScan era; Shania Twain's "Come On Over" album has sold 1.9 million units and Celine Dion's "Let's Talk about Love"
album has reached 1.5 million sales.
Why not take off a year or two, do the family thing and come back? Make sure the children have a secure future and fans are happy. "You could always say that option is open," said
John Meglen, president and co-chief executive of AEG Live/Concerts West, the company that leases and manages the Colosseum. "I would love to see her back. I hate to see this come to
an end. It's been so successful and Celine and Rene (her husband, Rene Angelil) and their entire organization have been such a pleasure to work with.
"It's going to be a very, very sad day come Dec. 15. Would we love to see her more, of course we would." But, he says, he isn't in a position to push her to change her mind.
"We're just extremely grateful for everything," Meglen said. Regardless of what happens when Dion gives her final performance, it's a safe bet that the Colosseum will continue to be home to megastars.
Elton John is signed through 2008. Jerry Seinfeld probably can keep coming back to the 4,000-seat venue several weeks a year for as long as he likes.
But ultimately, who can replace Dion?
"A New Day ..." has the feel of a Cirque du Soleil production - because it was created by former Cirque genius Franco Dragone ("O" and "Mystere") - but whatever the second act is,
it won't be Cirque. Nor will it be a Broadway show. "We're about headliners. We're about bringing in the greatest names - after all, what greater name do you have than Caesars Palace? And we
want to keep the level of stars up there," Meglen said. "We're about taking superstars and creating a show that cannot tour and that people can't see anywhere else and, if possible, a star they can't
see anywhere else."
Dion will be hard to replace. She was the first to occupy the $95 million showroom, which was the first of several multimillion-dollar showrooms built in recent years ($135 million for "Ka"
and $100 million each for "Love" and "Le Reve"). Whether it's Cher, Bette Midler or someone else, Meglen expects to make an announcement in a couple of months.
"Naturally we're keeping all options open," Meglen said. "But we do want to find a resident artist - or artists, plural - that can fill the remaining weeks that Elton's not playing. We hope Jerry Seinfeld will
continue to come out and play his few weeks a year. We're going to continue with the Comedy Festival, that's been doing great, and we want to continue to build on that."

1. The Rolling Stones, $150.9 million. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood collected $138.5 million from North American fans. Even without adding in the $12.4
million the group's album sales generated last year, the Stones would have topped the Ultimate Top 10 list once again. The average price of a ticket to "A Bigger Bang" was $136.63, up a few dollars from
a year earlier. 2. Tim McGraw/Faith Hill, $133 million. Both are strong concert draws on their own, and together they created the biggest country tour of the year, taking in $88.8 million.
Add in his album sales ($35.1 million) and hers ($9.1 million), and they were able to edge out all by the mighty Stones. Average ticket price: $80.92.
3. Rascal Flatts, $108.2 million. The country trio sold more albums last year than any other (just fewer than 5 million), bringing in $64.6 million. Their tour generated $43.6 million, with
an average ticket price of $46.17. 4. Kenny Chesney, $106.2 million. He sold 1.13 million tickets last year, once again more than any other act. Average ticket price: $58.34. 5.
Madonna, $97.1 million. The excitement Madonna generated with her "Confessions From a Dance Floor" tour didn't result in a wave of continued sales of her 2005 album of the same name. It sold an
additional half a million copies, and contributed to her total album revenue for the year of $11.2 million. On the concert trail, it was another story: She sold $85.9 million worth of concert tickets.
The difference: Her average ticket cost of $183.76 was second highest on Pollstar's list.
6. Barbra Streisand, $95.9 million. One thing the late James Brown doesn't have to worry about is surrendering his title as the hardest worker in show business to Streisand.
Thanks to an average ticket price of $298.36, with just 20 concerts last year she took in $92.5 million. 7. Celine Dion, $85.4 million, based solely on 147 performances at Caesar's Palace in Las
Vegas, with an average ticket price of $135. 8. Red Hot Chili Peppers, $67.9 million, with $42.3 million in album sales. On tour the band fetched $25.6 million. Average ticket price:
$56.92.
9. Bon Jovi, $67.2 million. Tour revenues were $59.7 million, with album sales of $7.5 million. Ticket average: $75.07. 10. Nickelback, $65.3 million. The Canadian rock outfit's
2006 tour brought in $30.3 million, with $35 million in CD sales. Ticket average: $40.11.
Denise Bombardier and Marie Laberge went to Las Vegas to attend "A New Day..." and to meet Céline and René. Lise Payette (and Janette
Bertrand as well) interviewed a very touched Céline many years ago. Céline will also sing a famous love-letter of George Sand (pseudonym of a female writer who had a relationship with Chopin) sent to Alfred de Musset in 1834.
Éric Benzi composed the music of these lyrics. Marc Dupré and Jean-François Breau joined Céline's usual music composer-team writing the music of one of the lyrics
written by Françoise Dorin («Et s'il n'en restait qu'un» or «A cause»). Seven songs were recorded in Montréal at the
Studio Piccolo, during Céline's Xmas holidays in Quebec. Other songs will be recorded in Las Vegas and in New York.
J.J. Goldman, who supervises this project, won't write lyrics nor music on this album. Céline's entourage relied on female
French AND Quebecers novelists to write the lyrics. Nina Bouraoui (La Voyeuse interdite, Mauvais pensées), Christine
Orban (J'étais l'origine du monde) and the novelist and playwright Françoise Dorin, who already wrote for Aznavour will appear
on this album. «I didn't know Céline Dion's music, the 77 year old novelist confessed to the French newspaper Le Parisien. I realized
how famous she was when I watched her show at the Stade de France. I was amazed by her voice and the ease she was moving with in that huge place."
The author gave two lyrics to Céline, "written a long time ago and never used". Entitled «Et s'il n'en restait qu'un»,
(And if only one remained), the first one deals with a woman willing to accept all the old-fashioned clichés about love, such as clair de
lune and kindled letters. The second one is called "A cause" (Because). The music was written by Jacques Veneruso, who wrote
the lyrics of "Sous le vent', that Céline sang in duet with Garou.
«D'Elles» is already seen as a big event, especially because it will be released before Céline's come-back on stage, in 2008, a few
months after the end of her show in Las Vegas.

(1:00 p.m. GMT) Last night Celine Dion and cast performed the first show in what will be the FIFTH and final year for A New Day…, the
Las Vegas performance spectacular created by Franco Dragone. The show is scheduled to close on December 15, 2007, after a landmark run at The
Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, where it has been presented by Chrysler since March 2003. “The fans have been so supportive of us, and I want to thank them for taking this journey with me. Working with Director Franco Dragone and a
wonderful cast of the most incredible artists has given me the opportunity to interpret my music in a very different and profound way, and to share a
unique experience with audiences from around the world every night,” said Celine Dion. “When I began this adventure four years ago, I had no idea how
magical this experience truly would be. As we prepare ourselves to say goodbye, I know this will be the best year yet.”
Nearly two-and-a-half million people have experienced A New Day… since it opened in the $95 million Colosseum designed for the show.
As the performance has evolved through the years, its status as one of the hottest tickets in Las Vegas has been a constant.
“A New Day… has been a phenomenal success, and has surpassed anyone's expectations. That Celine still is selling out 4,100 seats
a night after almost four years is a testament to her artistry, her passion and the connection that so many fans feel with her,” said John Meglen,
president and co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West. “We expect this final year to hold great things for both first-time visitors and fans who will return
to see how the show has changed, as we all celebrate Celine and everyone involved in this historic show.”
A New Day… will continue to evolve in its final year, including new costumes and a stunning performance of “River Deep, Mountain High.”
From January 17-21, the show will be filmed in high-definition for a soon-to-be-released TV special and DVD, which
will include some very unique and entertaining behind-the-scenes bonus footage. The final block of tickets for performances from August through
December will go on sale to the general public on March 1.
Through a unique blend of concert, dance, theatre and multi-media, A New Day… transports audiences to a virtual world where each song shapes a
universe of its own. Created by Franco Dragone, the performance is an artistic collection of powerful song and dance, fantastical imagery, reoccurring
characters and special effects, including projected images that are stories high and sequences where objects and performers appear to float across
the stage. The spectacle includes a cast of 50 dancers, musicians, incredible lighting effects, and the largest indoor LED screen in North America,
which creates an ever-changing backdrop for the performances.
Tickets are available now for performances from January through June by calling 1-877-4-CELINE or visiting www.ticketmaster.com, keyword "Celine Dion."
Tickets also may be purchased in person at The Caesars Palace Box Office, open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For groups of 20 or more, call 800-933-7110.
