organization and the brave individuals it serves. Opportunity Village has been working so hard ... helping thousands of
adults with disabilities and their families. They deserve international exposure, and I am honored to be able to help
them deliver their message on behalf of people with profound disabilities."
"We have waited 50 years for something like this to happen to us," Linda Smith said (the chief development officer of Opportunity Village).
"Lots of Las Vegas entertainers have been extraordinarily generous to us, but this is special... If every ticket is sold,
the donation could end up topping $1 million."

He described himself in 3 words generous, audacious and pig-headed. He said that people see Céline and René,
or René and Céline but there's a separate Céline and a separate René. René talked about his career with 'Les
Baronnets' group, he said he doesn't miss it even though he still has great memories
The job of manager bring to him PLEASURE. "In any job, if it doesn't bring your pleasure, then you're not doing
the right job". He likes his job because it's a challenge, it's his passion. His idol is Brian Epstein, manager of
The Beatles.
Just before he met Céline, he was studying to become a lawyer. In an old interview, he said not to mix love and business.
Before he met Céline, he said he would never manage a woman again because they are too easily led by love but took a
chance with Céline because she was only a girl (not yet a woman).
In the beginning, both him and Céline had a mutual goal: success. Now their mutual goal is René-Charles and
the family life. They live a simple life. They don't go out (don't participate in parties like other celebrities). Even though they
live in the United States, they are still Quebecers. They watch Quebec TV and news on satellite.
His biggest strategy was at the time of Incognito, when he learned that there was a Sony convention in the city of
Quebec, he convinced Sony that Céline would sing even though nobody else was singing. She sang 'Where Does My Heart
Beat Now', and a week later, she had a contract for the internationa launch of Unison.
He gets his "gambler" side from his family, especially his grandmother. He used to watch his family play cards all the time
when he was little.
When the media say bad things of Céline or make fun of her, it affects him deeply, but fortunately, Céline doesn't know
of these things. Host said he was lucky to have defeated cancer. He said he hasn't defeated cancer and never will. Cancer
cannot be defeated. But that he is lucky to be healthy at the moment.
René said that Céline's career can't go any higher; they are at the summit. Their priority now is René-Charles and
their family life. When they are at home, there is no music, no trophies or awards hanigng on the wall and not talking about
show business. They are a happy family like any other family.

It should be noted that the "Trooper of the Evening Grammy"--if there was such a thing--should have gone to
Céline Dion, who soldiered through her tribute to Vandross, despite a broken microphone and an ear monitor that was clearly not
working. That she managed to sing her tribute flawlessly, despite the enormous technical difficulties, earned her the respect
even of those who've consistently criticized her style.
Backstage, Marx spoke about why Céline Dion was able to relate to Vandross's "Dance With My Father."
"Well, you know, first of all, Celine's one of the greatest singers we have," Marx said. "Nobody can sing it like
Luther, it's Luther's song, it just embodies Luther. But Celine also can really, it resonates with her because her father
just passed away recently."
Marx accompanied Céline Dion on piano for their special performance of "Dance With My Father," and
backstage, Marx spoke about playing through some obvious technical glitches. "Hey, I'm just glad I didn't screw up the notes,
you know," Marx said. "I was okay, Celine was amazing. It totally fazed her, she was a basket case after the song
until I said, 'I promise you, you were awesome.' She just, she couldn't hear a thing. I mean, she's such a pro,
it's amazing."

Céline needs a vacation. An upcoming three-week hiatus, starting this coming
Sunday, might be what she needs. It turns out she had two panic
attacks Friday during her show at Caesars Palace. "She had a spasm of her respiratory
system. She couldn't breathe and she panicked a couple times," said René.
Earlier Friday, she had flown to surprise Oprah Winfrey at her 50th birthday
party in Los Angeles (Don't forget to take a look to tomorrow's Oprah show too see
what happened!!).
Upon returning, Céline canceled the show 40 minutes into the performance and canceled shows
Wednesday and tonight as well. "She hasn't had a chance to recoup since her father's
death" in November, René said.
After performing a tribute to Luther Vandross at the Grammys on Sunday, the
international singing star is heading for the Bahamas for a scheduled vacation.

According to Billboard, Céline's two shows from January 28 to Jan.29 are at the #6
on this week's Billboard Boxscore Concert Grosses (the chart of concert grosses in the U.S.A.).
Gross Sales: $ 1,098,000; Shows/ Sellouts: 2/2. Her January 29th show was
the 166th consecutive sold-out show !! The preformances of January 30th and Jan.31, and

According to official site, also performances of A New Day... scheduled for Wednesday, February 4th and

new interpretation of her original fragrance, that celebrates Celine's love and understanding of both music and fragrance notes."
Celine Dion Parfum Notes is a deep, romantic floral fragrance. The top notes have a sensuous crispness, which
highlight the floral heart of Amazon orchid, mimosa, heliotrope and peony. The bottom notes of rich white musk, natural
vetiver, and sandalwood oil add warmth and sensuality. This floral harmony is the perfect accompaniment to the original
scent. "Since I was a child, I've used music notes to reach people. Now I have discovered that fragrance notes are
another way for me to express myself. The composition of notes in both fragrance and music evoke deep emotions
that speak directly to the heart," says Celine.
In creating the fragrance, Celine was moved by her desire to bond closely with her fans. "It is truly a special feeling to be
able to share the notes of both scent and music with my fans," says Celine.
Celine Dion Parfum Notes will be available in department stores across North America in April.
The eau de toilette will be offered in 1 oz and 1.7 oz sizes.

costretta ad annullare uno show per colpa dell'influenza. Céline non ritornerà sul palco del

A sinus infection was blamed for canceling Céline's Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows.
She was 40 minutes into her show Friday when she had problems breathing, Céline's husband/manager René
Angelil said Saturday. All tickets will be refunded.
Céline had not missed a show in 14 years until late October, when she was stricken with the
flu. She won't return to The Colosseum stage until Wednesday, February 4, on doctor's orders,
René said. "She's been fighting this since father died in November", he said.
"It's not Vegas throat. Her vocal chords are fine."
