(7:30 a.m. GMT) The syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show got a nice holiday gift: its best national weekly ratings ever.
The show, which came in sixth among all talkers, scored a 2.4 rating average for the week ending Dec. 19, up 9% from the prior
week and up 50% year to year. That came amid a general decline for other talkers.
Ellen’s highest-rated show of the week featured singer Celine Dion and averaged a 2.5 Dec. 17.
The top five talk shows were Oprah, Dr. Phil, Live With Regis & Kelly, Maury, and Montel.

her new story to discover what happened !!!! Horizon's Los Angeles office will handle all media planning, buying and promotions for the Chrysler-sponsored Caesars Palace show.
The agency is headquartered in New York. Named after her 2002 album, "A New Day Has Come," the show's opening marked the French Canadian
diva's return to the stage after a lengthy break. Performed at Caesars' 4,000-seat Colosseum that was built specifically for Céline, the show set Vegas
records in 2003, when 200,000 of the first 60 performances' 240,000 seats were sold two months prior to opening
night.
Although attendance has since leveled off, it remains one of the Strip's most popular acts, scheduled for 200 performances annually.
"We're well versed in driving sales forward for these high-profile types of events," said Zach Rosenberg, executive vice president and general manager of
Horizon Media in Los Angeles. "We're excited."

A husband and wife who lost two sons in the Sept. 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center in New York wanted Celine Dion
to have a badge that belonged to one of the slain siblings. One was a New York firefighter, the other a New York police officer.
In another instance, a woman who survived 9-11 recalled to Céline the horror of seeing one of the hijacked jets flying into her tower. The Caesars Palace headliner has opened her dressing room and her heart to families seeking comfort through her music.
Often, with the show two minutes away, she's on the telephone offering words of hope to the dying because, she said, "I have this gift."
One man called and asked whether he could record Céline's comforting message to play over and over to his wife.
Others have died while she was holding their hand. "I heard their last breath," she said, choking up.
"I feel very fortunate. I feel like I'm escorting them to heaven," Céline said during a backstage interview after her show Saturday.
Céline starts a holiday break from her show TODAY in Los Angeles, taping an installment of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"
for a Friday airing. Tuesday, she's on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." She will spend her Xmas holidays
in Quebec with her family and will return to the Colosseum on December 28.

"Oh, this is so cool!" Jessica exclaims. "She's the best singer in the whole world. I wanted to meet her so bad!"
Jessica enjoys playing soccer and singing in the school choir. But a cranial MRI interrupted all that when it revealed a D-Net tumor. Surgery was required,
but the prognosis for Jessica was shaky: "I had to say goodbye to my family like I was never going to see them again."
The operation was successful, but as a result Jessica suffers from short-term memory loss, making it difficult for her to study for tests in school. After learning
about her condition, the Children's Wish Foundation arranged for her, her parents and her brothers to fly from their Orlando home to Las Vegas and attend
Celine's "A New Day" show at the majestic Caesars Palace.
But what Jessica didn't know is that she was also going to get to meet the 'Titanic' talent in her dressing room before the concert.
"You look fabulous! You should be onstage!" Celine told the starstruck teen, who was dolled up in a formal evening gown. The Grammy
winner gave Jessica a CD package and told her, "We'll do the show for you tonight," joking, "You probably know my songs better than I do.
If I forget my words, I'll look at you."
