Céline at Caesars Palace

Tables prices are: $3,500 Silver, $5,000 Gold, $10,000 Platinum, and $25,000 for Celine Diamond tables. The Celine Diamond table will feature the opportunity to attend a private reception in a Caesars suite at 6:30 p.m. including a "meet and greet" with Céline and celebrities as well as many other VIP benefits. The gala will commence at 7:00 p.m. PT with dinner being served at 8:30 p.m. PT. It will be Saturday and Céline will also have to perform her show at Colosseum starting at 8 p.m. PT.

"A New Day..." Brings in 2004 on a High Note

"Since opening in March, we've welcomed visitors from around the country and around the world to experience our show filled with song, dance and theatrical innovation," said John Meglen, co-CEO of Concerts West. Celine and René urge public to give generously to Montreal hospital

Montreal (CP) - Céline's voice was choked with emotion yesterday as she urged the public to donate to a local children's hospital where her niece died a decade ago. But she was relatively composed at the event, a stark contrast to the flow of tears she shed last year at a similar appeal for donations to Ste-Justine Hospital. Céline and husband/manager Rene Angelil, both part of the fundraising campaign, once again urged people to give generously to the hospital. "Who will benefit from all this (money)? Our children, our teenagers, our mothers," said Céline, "It's time for the parents, individuals, families, all of us, to be generous - to open our hearts. The life of a child obviously doesn't have a price."

Céline and René are patrons of a five-year campaign to raise money for research, equipment, beds and an enlarged cancer facility at Ste-Justine. She said $76 million has been collected so far and the foundation's goal is $100 million in public donations. Several large corporations have already donated major sums. René said the donations will help to build and maintain pediatric-care expertise and technology in Quebec. "When a child is sick, not everyone has the luxury to go to Boston or Houston or another city to be treated," he said. "if we can buy a Christmas gift for someone, then we can also send a gift to our children." Céline and René also announced the largest donation ever made to the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation... $5,000,000 donated by Marcelle and Jean Coutu Fondation.

(10:22 p.m. GMT) Montréal, December 18, 2003 -- Céline and René, the spokespersons for the Growing Up Healthy campaign held by the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation, launched today the public thrust of the campaign launched in December 2002 that, so far, has targeted mainly the private sector. Together, they are calling upon the generosity of the public in order to raise the funds necessary for this project to ensure the future of Hôpital Sainte-Justine, which helps children, teenagers and mothers from all over Québec. This project represents an investment of $400 million, of which $100 million will be raised in the community.

Céline and René have enthusiastically - and emotionally - embraced the cause of Sainte-Justine’s. And to stimulate the implementation of the hospital modernization project, they are appealing to the generosity of everyone - families, couples and individuals. During the Holiday Season and throughout the year, the Foundation will collect the funds that will allow the children and mothers in Québec to benefit, for many years to come, from specialized care on a par with the best practices in the world. “The health of a child has no price,” declared Céline at the event. “This cause touches every one of us, because if everyone were to open their heart and make a donation, all our children would benefit. And, of course, the whole community benefits, too.”

Céline's Position On The Canadian Business' "Rich 100"

(7:30 a.m. GMT) Alcuni giorni fa, il giornale Canadian Business aveva riportato che che Céline era tra le stelle della "Rich 100" (la lista annuale dei 100 cittadini canadesi più ricchi) di quest'anno con i suoi 320 milioni di dollari, in salita dai 305 milioni di dollari dello scorso anno. Il giornale non aveva rivelato ancora la sua posizione in classifica...ebbene Céline si classifica al 97esimo posto in discesa dal 91esimo dell'anno scorso.

Céline Goes On Vacation But Before Leaving...

Trascorrerà le sue vacanze di natale con la sua famiglia in Quebec dove prenderà anche parte ad uno spettacolo di beneficenza (un evento privato!) il 17 Dicembre ed a una conferenza stampa presso l'ospedale Sainte-Justine di Montreal il 18 Dicembre. She will spend her Christmas holidays with her family in Quebec where she will also take part in a benifit show (a private event, so no public tickets are on sale!) on December 17 (confirmed by SonyMusic Canada) and in a press conference at Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal. But last night, before leaving Colosseum, Céline met into her backstage the multi-millionaire Donald Trump, the super-model Melania Knauss and Phil Ruffin, a billionaire industrialist who has a megaproject in the works with Trump.

Céline And René Help Saint-Justine Hospital

(8:00 a.m. GMT) Giovedì 18 Dicembre, Céline e René parteciperanno ad una conferenza stampa a Montreal per invitare le persone a supportare la campagna di finanziamento della fondazione dell'ospedale Sainte-Justine. Per questa occasione annunceranno una donazione maggiore. Sarà la più importante donazione mai fatta alla fondazione. Il giorno prima, Céline si esibirà durante uno spettacolo benefico al Bell Centre di Montreal. Dal 15 Dicembre sarà in vacanza e si esibirà di nuovo al Colosseum a partire dal 30 Dicembre.

(8:00 a.m. GMT) Céline and René will take part in a press conference next Thursday, December 18, in Montreal to invite people to support the financing campaign of the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation. For this occasion they will announce a major donation. It will be the most important donation ever given to the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation. The day before Céline will be performing at a benefit show at Bell Centre in Montreal. She will be on vacation as from December 15 and she will be performing again at Colosseum on December 30.

Céline sarà in vacanza per ben 23 giorni: dal 22 Marzo al 13 Aprile. Ritornerà ad esibirsi al Colosseum dal 14 Aprile al 30 Maggio (come sempre, eccetto i Lunedì e i Martedì). Poi si prenderà un altro break di sedici giorni: dal 31 Maggio al 15 Giugno e ritornerà ad esibirsi dal 16 Giugno al 18 Luglio (eccetto i Lunedì e i Martedì).

(8:19 a.m. GMT) Céline's official site has posted the 2004-Second Quarter "A New Day..." show schedule from April to July 2004. Céline will be on vacation for 23 days: from March 22 to April 13. She will come back to Colosseum from April 14 to May 30 (except on Mondays and Tuesdays as usual). Then she'll be taking a 16 days-break: from May 31 to June 15 and she will be performing again at Colosseum from June 16 to July 18 (except on Mondays and Tuesdays).
