A last-minute lien filed against Celine Dion's home opened potential closing problems for the singer and her wealthy buyer,
Richard Santulli, founder of NetJets Inc.
Tree Shapers Woodworking of West Palm Beach filed the lien in Palm Beach County Circuit Court on Dec. 2 -- the
same day the $9 million sale closed, court documents show.
Tree Shapers President Chris Dull -- who worked on the late fashion designer Gianni Versace's palatial South Beach
home, said in the lien that Dion still owed him $12,848.86 on a total of $24,321.06 worth of labor and materials for interior
doors.
The lien shocked the Canadian-born pop singer and her husband, Rene Angelil.
"(Dull) filed the lien because he was afraid they were going to sell and he hadn't been paid in full yet," a source close to the deal
said. "Well, there's a reason for that -- he hadn't done any of the work yet."
Dion's representative, Jon Greene, said that as soon as Dion learned of the lien, she paid the bill in full -- even though the
custom stained-glass doors between the kitchen and the family room hadn't even been started, Greene said.
"They ordered these doors six to eight months ago," Greene said. "They're exquisite, all stained glass, all custom work. But we
don't understand the lien, especially when a large percent was paid up front, and he hadn't delivered the material yet or started
the work."
"Celine and Rene pay their bills on time," said someone else who has worked for them. "They're very aggressive about that.
And their handshake is their word."

"ANDHC" album comes in 9th position on the Media Control Year End Album Sales Chart in
Germany, instead "I'm Alive" is at #22 and "A new day has come"is at # 49 on the German single chart of the year 2002.
In the list of Top 100 artists of all time compiled by the Guinness British Hit Singles book authors, Céline comes in 49th
position up from last year's 62nd.
In the U.S. Adult Contemporary Year-End Chart, "A New Day Has Come" single come in third
position while "I'm Alive" in #25.

Montreal- A visit with 16 sick children on a hospital ward not far from where her niece died about a decade ago.
Almost two years after becoming a mother, international superstar Celine Dion will lead a campaign to raise $100 million for a
children's hospital in her home town.
"Ste-Justine is very special for us," said Dion "In fact, it's unique because it's all about children. And where children are
concerned, you have to give them your all. "When children are sick, when they need to be cared for, they deserve access to
the best doctors in the world... and doctors need help to care them."
"It's difficult for me," she sobbed through tears- "I'm speaking here as a mother... Ste-Justine's isn't a hospital for me - it's a
house, the house of life, children's house... a fantastic house!!" "I have a special attachment with this house. I came here often
with Karine, my niece, who is still here (in spirit)." "I wanna be Santa Claus to give the sick youngsters organs and good health!"
Dion and her husband Rene Angelil will serve as patrons of a five-year campaign to raise money for research, equipment,
beds and an enlarged cancer facility at the hospital. The 34-year-old songstress from Charlemagne, Que., has long been
associated with the Quebec's largest children's hospital. She often visited when her niece was battling cystic fibrosis.
Dion went on the help raise millions of dollars across Canada for research to fight the disease.
Wednesday's event marked Dion's first public engagement in Montreal since she received a star last September on the
walk of fame outside the old Forum.
The fund-raising campaign will be headed by Claude Brien-Coutu, wife of pharmacist Francois Coutu, and Jacques
Menard, president of BMO Nesbitt Burns.
Menard approached Angelil, an occasional golfing partner, a few months ago about the campaign.
"Their co-operation means a great deal to our ambitious campaign," Menard said. The fundraising campaign will start on
April 2003 but Céline and René's appeals will be broadcasted on TV and on radio stations since March 2003 and in these
appeals Céline will sing a new song written for the campaign "Growing in health"- "It will be fantastic!!"- said René.
The $100 million expected to be raised from the public will be added to $300 million provided by various levels
of government.
"I don't want your thanks; it is me who is thanking the hospital for giving me such an important role in helping the children."
"We have to because children are our future.... Thank you for supporting us"-- Céline concluded.

cantata da Céline).
Non era la prima volta che Céline aveva a che fare con l'universo di Meunier: la Sig.ra Dion si era già vestita da
Moman al Gala dell'ADISQ 1998.

last week she came back to the store to buy other items worth more than US$ 15,000. One of those pairs of ear-rings was also used
in Céline's latest video: "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)". Ana Abdul, owner of the store, told that Celine is "totally in love"
with Jack Vartanian.

raising from #88 to #83. Instead "These Are Special Times" album remains stable at #5 on

with 622 spins instead "At Last" jumps up at #18 from #24 with 279 spins.

with felony theft in Clark County, is suspected of passing bad checks worth about $100,000 at a Louisiana casino.
Clark County prosecutor Dan Ahlstrom said he was told Louisiana authorities intend to pursue charges against Yun Kyeong
Kwon Sung. Angelil's attorney, David Chesnoff, seized on word that Sung is under investigation in another case: "If that is
accurate, it is just another example of her lack of credibility!". In 2001, Sung passed four bad checks at Harrah's Las Vegas
worth about $500,000. In May 2002 she was released from custody. As a condition of her release, she agreed to pay $50,000
a month in restitution to Harrah's. Six months later, "Not a dime!"- Ahlstrom said.

Celine Dion’s greatest fantasy is to appear naked on stage in front of millions of her fans. But that’s not all. ‘Oh no’, she says,
“I’d really like my audience to be naked too”.
It isn’t the sort of remark that you’d expect from the woman who has always seemed to be one of the primmest performers
in pop, but Celine has more to say on the subject, “I wish we were all naked all of the time, “she says, warming to her theme,
“my reasons are very simple, I get so sick of the way we’ve become obsessed with image. Today everything’s always about looks,

It’s a scary thought but Celine seems quite convinced. She nods, “when I first started in this business, people took one look
at me and said it wouldn’t happen. They didn’t even wait to hear me sing, they judged me entirely by what I looked like, my
hair, my clothes, my face.”
“I’m very aware that I have never been considered cool, or trendy as an artist. Maybe I still don’t
wear the right clothes. The good thing now is that I really don’t care any more. As long as my fans enjoy my music and I’m
happy in myself, my life and my music, that’s all the truly concerns me”. While she’s never been as edgy or exciting as
Madonna or Jennifer Lopez, Celine has beaten them hands down when it comes to shifting records; - she’s officially the
biggest selling female artist of all time. She’s also the highest earner, with an estimated personal fortune of £500 million.

"Funny. There was a time when a big ballad from Celine Dion would be more or less guaranteed a berth near the top end of the
chart. Despite being another immaculate production and dealing with saying farewell to her dying mother, "Goodbye (The
Saddest Word)" makes a rather apologetic Top 40 appearance and becomes her smallest chart single since the original release
of Mislead hit Number 40 back in 1994 - not counting the fact that the single subsequently made Number 15 when
re-released a year later. No, the last Celine Dion single fails debut in the Top 30: a testament, with hit number 72
"Where Does My Heart Beat Now" in April 1993, to the string of hits she has clocked up since.
