New Picture from "D'Elles"
« A Great TV moment »
(11:20 a.m. GMT) In an interview with the Journal de Montreal, Rene Angelil admits that he watched the virtual duo of Celine & Elvis
on wednesday morning for the very first time. « It was a GREAT TV moment » says a touched Angelil.
He was contacted by 'American Idol' producer, Nigel Lythgoe, on April 6th. «He told me he had an amazing idea for a duet with Céline», explains Angélil.
To carry out his plan, Celine had to be free around April 16-17. She had to spend four hours in a recording studio in Los Angeles.
«Celine had two days-off on April 16 and 17 [...] but everytime she goes there (Los Angeles) she gets sick... so that I refused.» confides Angelil. Producer Nigel Lythgoe insisted so that Angelil,
a huge fan of Elvis, finally accepted with a condition: producer David Foster had to arrange the vocal backgrounds of If I Can Dream.
«[...] But Nigel (Lythgoe) had already called him.»
«Celine was so impressed when she saw the clip. She was really happy. Same thing for Lisa-Marie Presley (Elvis' daughter), she
burst into tears watching the duet of his father with Céline.» She had to give her approval to the American Idol production. «They never accepted a thing like this, but they did
just because of Celine!» confides Angelil talking about Elvis' relatives. «After watching the clip on last Sunday, Lisa-Marie wasn't able to talk. Everything was perfect to her.
She admitted that Celine was stunning! I can't exclude that this song will be part of Celine's forthcoming album in english.»
American Idol Gives Back generated some $30 million for charity, according to the show. At its peak, more than 30 million viewers tuned into the program on Wednesday night.
The show, a two-hour charity event, grew every half hour to peak at an 11.8 rating/29 share in the key 18-49 demo at 9:30-10. The show powered Fox to a 10.0/26 18-49 average for the night,
according to Nielsen overnight numbers.

How did they do it?
(7:00 a.m. GMT) More than 70-million people voted for their favorite American Idols. But it was the King of Rock and Roll who stole last night's show.
Celine Dion performed a duet with Elvis and today, everyone wants to know how they did it.
It's the duet that only the magic of television, computers and Elvis Presley Enterprises could make happen and it has a lot of people talking and asking 'how'd they do that?
If you didn't see the show, Celine Dion appeared to walk out and stand next to Elvis as the two sang a duet of the classic "If I can Dream."
The three minute performance showed the two together and also had single shots of each. There were also close ups of Elvis and his signature moves.
So how'd they do it? In the old days Dion would have stood in-front of a green screen. A computer would replace the color green with video of Elvis.
We're told Dion sang with a Las Vegas Elvis tribute artist whose body was shown in wide shots.
That's what gave it the realistic look.
At times, his face was replaced with the real Elvis taken from the 1968 Elvis Comeback special.
They even used some full body shots from that special.
Web chatter says Celine Dion sang the song five times and that it was all edited together to create the performance you saw.

TEN CONCERTS IN PARIS IN MAY 2008!!
(8:00 p.m. GMT) The rumour has been going on since months...and now IT'S OFFICIAL!! Celine Dion will come back in France in 2008. As from May 19th, 2008
"the Canadian star will give TEN concerts at the Palais Omnisports of Paris-Bercy, nine years after her last concert in France" declared the Columbia (Sony-BMG)
record company today.
(7:00 a.m. GMT) Celine Dion made TV history in America last night (25Apr07) when she performed live with Elvis Presley.
Technology enabled the Canadian diva to appear to sing alongside Presley onstage at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood during the American Idol 'Idol Gives Back' charity special.
The late rocker appeared in hologram form for the breathtaking duet of If I Can Dream with Dion, leaving many audience members stunned and convinced they were seeing a ghost.
If I Can Dream
There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true
There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
All the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear
We're lost in a cloud
With too much rain
We're trapped in a world
That's troubled with pain
But as long as a man
Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly
Deep in my heart there's a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
right now....right now.

Celine & Elvis
(8:00 p.m. GMT) Who will be part of the America Idol duet that Ryan Seacrest teased about on the most recent American Idol results show? If Seacrest’s hyperbole is to be believed, then
American Idol viewers can expect to see “two of the biggest stars in musical history come together.”
Later in the American Idol results show telecast, Celine Dion’s name was mentioned as one of the artist performing, and much early speculation has revolved around that she will be half of the
two biggest stars in musical history equation. However, there has been much debate as to who her singing partner will be with speculation ranging
from Michael Jackson to surprisingly Elvis Presley.
How could Elvis Presley sing with Celine Dion considering by most accounts he passed away almost thirty years ago? No, the rumors are not as outrageous
to assume that Presley has been found
alive and persuaded to emerge from hiding, but instead center around a virtual reality Elvis being used. Reality TV Magazine readers have
posted comments claiming that during a recent
rehearsal for the “Idol Gives Back” special that Celine Dion performed with an Elvis impersonator (who will be replaced with a virtual
Elvis). The song performed is rumored to have been
“If I Can Dream,” which viewers might remember as the Elvis song that Elliott Yamin sang last year during American Idol Elvis theme week.
Now, as unbelievable as a duet between Celine Dion and Elvis Presley might initially sound, it might not actually be that far-fetched. Seacrest
did describe the duet as something viewers
“will have to see to believe.” A virtual reality Elvis on stage would certainly qualify as something people would have to see to believe. Also, Celine
Dion has experience performing with deceased singers, as
she did a virtual duet with Frank Sinatra. Finally, CKX Entertainment which owns 19 Entertainment (the producers of American Idol) also owns the rights to the name, images, and likenesses of Elvis Presley.
However, according to a comment by another Reality TV Magazine reader, Michael Jackson will be performing “I Have This Dream” with Celine Dion. “I Have This
Dream” is the rumored title of a Michael Jackson single intended to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims. The singles release has been repeatedly delayed, leading to some speculation over if it will ever
be released.
Part of the money raised by “Idol Gives Back” is going to help people in areas of Mississippi and Louisiana devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Michael Jackson’s management as well as American
Idol producers have repeatedly denied that Michael Jackson will appear on American Idol, but it certainly is a wild coincidence that Jackson has a delayed single to benefit Hurricane Katrina and American
Idol is doing a special that will in part benefit Hurricane Katrina.
So while nothing has been confirmed, Celine Dion singing a song with someone about dreams seems to be one of the biggest rumors floating right now. Then again, maybe Celine Dion is just a decoy.
What if it turns out to be Michael Jackson and a virtual Elvis Presley? To quote Ryan Seacrest, that is something we “will have to see to believe.”

Do you know Lisa Palleschi?
(7:20 a.m. GMT) From Billboard single reviews: " Budding Adult Contemporary artist
Lisa Palleschi is a bit of a paradox. While "I Wanna See You Cry" is a penetrating,
keenly produced prototypical power ballad, there are occasional glitches in the quality of her vocal—moments where she simply misses her mark. Repeated listens endear it to the ear, particularly given
its melodic comeliness . . . but her greatest talent may be in songwriting. Palleschi's ultimate fame may come from offering such songs to Celine Dion, whose fourth-quarter 2007 album would take it
to another level. —Chuck Taylor "
RE-listen Celine Dion's Interview On Chérie FM
(7:20 a.m. GMT) For all those Celine fans who missed last night's interview with Celine Dion, the French radio station Chérie FM will post this interview on its
website on Monday, April 16th at 11:00 a.m. CET
(at 10:00 a.m. GMT). During last night's interview they broadcasted two new song clips of "Immensité" and "A cause"
from Celine's upcoming album, "D'Elles". Here are the lyrics taken from those short song-clips:
A Cause

René Angelil Doesn't Approve The 'Celine' Project
(12:00 p.m. GMT) René Angélil, Celine Dion's husband and manager, learned yesterday that the Toronto-based Barna-Alper Productions is shooting a two-hour movie about Celine
Dion's career, a not-authorized project. Producer Laszlo Barna contacted Paul Farberman of Los Angeler Feeling Productions six month
ago, he would liked to know if Angelil had approved his project about Celine Dion. The reply was negative so that Angelil thought the producer
gave up his project. "I'm disappointed and shocked about the fact that the TV Network CBC decided to broadcast a not-authorized movie.
I have no idea about this project. I can't do anything unless I prove it's libellous" said Angelil to the Journal de Montreal.

Celine Dion TV movie shooting ... in Toronto
(6:20 a.m. GMT) The Celine Dion story is coming to the small-screen but her local francophone fans will be disappointed to learn that the TV movie
is being shot entirely in English in Toronto and Hamilton. There are no plans to air the bio-pic of Quebec’s most famous chanteuse in French.
Shooting began Sunday (April 8th) at the Glenn Gould Theatre at the CBC Broadcast
Centre in Toronto and continued Monday with scenes shot at the chic Windsor Arms Hotel just off Bloor St. in the heart of Toronto’s financial
district.
The movie, titled Celine, is produced by Toronto-based Barna-Alper Productions, the same company that produced the Shania Twain bio, Shania: A Life in Eight albums, which
garnered more than one million viewers on CBC two years ago. Celine is set to air sometime next season on CBC, likely early in 2008.
It stars Montreal up-and-comer Christine Ghawi as the adult Dion and the
Nanaimo, B.C.-born Jodelle Ferland as Dion from the age of 10 to 12.
Producer Laszlo Barna told The Gazette on Tuesday that the Celine Dion movie is being made only in English because he wants to focus on selling the film internationally.
The movie marks a major break for Ghawi, a little-known local actress who has had some small movie and TV roles. The Cyprus-born Montrealer’s biggest gig to date was playing the Sarah Jessica
Parker character Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and la Cite, a spoof of Sex and the City that ran at the Just For Laughs fest last year.
Ferland, the 12-year-old actress who plays Dion at a younger age, was recently nominated for a Genie as best actress for the film Tideland.
Toronto actor Enrico Colantoni
– best-known for his recurring role as the fashion photographer Elliot DiMauro on the sitcom Just Shoot Me – plays Dion’s husband and manager Rene Angelil.
Singer and stage actress Louise Pitre portrays Dion’s mother Therese and New Brunswick-born thespian
Peter MacNeill plays Dion’s dad Adhmar.
Celine is directed by Jeff Woolnough (CSI, Battlestar Gallactica) and was written by Donald Martin, based on the biography, A New Day Dawns, by Barry Gills
and Jim Brown. It follows Dion until the age of 24. The movie is not an authorized biography and neither Dion nor Angelil is involved in the project. There will be no original Dion music
in the movie. Instead a selection of Dion hits will be interpreted by Toronto singer Trish O’Brian. Ghawi will not do any of her own singing.
Though it is not an authorized bio-pic, Barna has no intention of dishing any dirt on Dion or Angelil. Barna sees Dion’s life is an inspirational tale, and the film will chronicle her rise from modest
beginnings in the town of Charlemagne just outside Montreal to worldwide stardom. For Barna, Dion and Shania Twain have much in common. “You have these two women who’ve had these unbelievable
success stories but both come from humble backgrounds,” said Barna. “I love underdog stories. This is my Canadian idol.”
Filming on Celine continues in Toronto and Hamilton until May 5.
