Yesterday Final Four Canadian Idols visited Céline in Las Vegas. Céline told the Canadian Idol final four that the "best was yet to come" in a backstage meeting yesterday in Las Vegas. Céline was Idol-ized by the four remaining finalists when the Canadian diva dispensed advice on dealing with nerves, signing autographs and protecting their singing voice following her performance of "A New Day...," Céline's new sold-out production at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The segment will air in a special "Love Songs" themed episode of Canadian Idol, live on CTV on Monday, Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings).

The four remaining finalists were also treated to an exclusive backstage tour prior to the performance where they met the cast and crew of "A New Day," including the many Canadians working on the production. A true "Canadian Idol," Céline was relaxed, playful, generous and candid in sharing her experience in becoming an international superstar with the four Idol hopefuls, one of whom will be crowned the first Canadian Idol when the series concludes Sept. 16 on CTV. "Canadian musical talent is unparalleled on the planet," said Céline. "I'm thrilled to play my part in bringing Canada's next music superstar to the world stage."

Among her many observations:

Céline also provided advice about avoiding dry mouth before a performance ("Bite the tip of your tongue: it brings the saliva back") and suggested that performers have an obligation to their fans after one Idol finalist asked if she ever tired of signing autographs. "The fans are the ones who buy your CDs and tickets to your shows," she said. "It is all part of the package."

From the moment it premiered in June on CTV, Canadian Idol has been Canada's most-watched show. For the first time, last week's Tuesday night's results show attracted more than two million viewers (2+) .

Confirmation - Céline On Jerry Lewis Telethon

Anche il sito ufficiale conferma che questa domenica Céline farà una breve apparizione alla 38esima edizione del Jerry Lewis Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy. Céline's Official website also confirms that Céline will be making a brief appearance on the 38th Annual Jerry Lewis Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy on Sunday, August 31. Céline will dedicate a song from her show "A New Day..." to those affected by this disease. The telethon runs from Sunday, August 31 to Monday, September 1 and airs on CBS.

A NEW CBS SPECIAL FOR CELINE!!

2003 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon

Comedian Jerry Lewis is preparing for the upcoming 38th Jerry Lewis Telethon to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The annual Labor Day telethon is scheduled to air on close to 200 US TV stations, beginning at 9 p.m. EDT Sunday, and signing off at 6:30 p.m. EDT on Monday. Céline will perform this weekend as part this Telethon with Cher, Clay Aiken and Joan Jett, among others.

A Lot Of Bucks Let "A New Day..." To Grow !

Ottanta esibizioni "sold-out" di fronte a quasi 330mila ammiratori hanno permesso al team creativo dello show di Céline di fare una quantità ben accetta di perfezionamenti e modificazioni. 80 sold-out performances in front of nearly 330,000 fans have allowed the creative team of Céline's show to do a welcome amount of polishing and editing. The major change involves a more imaginative use of the numerous live video cameras that constantly move throughout the theatre, framing Dion in new and interesting ways, then transmitting her image onto a 120-foot LED screen (the largest in North America). The state-of-the-art 4,100-seat Colosseum Theatre reportedly cost over $100 million (all figures U.S.) to build. A New Day itself carried a $40 million pricetag to get it to opening night and Dion herself gets $100 million (plus 50 per cent of the profits) for 200 shows a year over the next 36 months. That's a lot of bucks, but everyone around Caesars Palace is smiling these days. There has not been an empty seat since the show opened, and there's no sign of things letting up, even at a record-breaking $200 per ticket for the best locations in the house.

Anche il Review Journal conferma l'arrivo di questa settimana a Las Vegas dei quattro finalisti di "Canadian Idol". Secondo Melissa Gerstein, produttrice dello show, i quattro sono attesi giovedì a Las Vegas e Venerdì hanno in programma di assistere allo show di Céline "A New Day" e di incontrare Céline di persona, nella speranza di cogliere alcuni suggerimenti utili su come interpretare una canzone. Céline at "Canadian Idol" on Sept. 1th!!

Alcuni giorni fa abbiamo riportato che Céline apparirà in uno dei prossimi episodi della fortunatissima trasmissione "Canadian Idol"; allora il network televisivo non rivelò la data dell'apparizione di Céline ma solo il tema della puntata: "Canzoni d'Amore". Oggi, il network televisivo canadese CTV ha appena annunciato che la puntata "Canzoni d'Amore" andrà in onda l' 1 Settembre: " I migliori quattro della trasmissione si dirigono a Las Vegas per una lezione sull'amore della chanteuse Céline Dion. Ritornati a Toronto, essi metteranno alla prova ciò che hanno imparato sul palco durante la gara."

Some days ago we reported that Céline will appear in an upcoming episodes of the blockbuster series "Canadian Idol" but then the TV Network didn't reveal the date of Céline's appearance, just the theme of the episode: "Love Songs." Today, the Canadian TV Network, CTV has just announced that the episode "Love Songs" is going to be broadcasted on September 1: "Canadian Idol's Top 4 head to Vegas for a lesson in love from chanteuse Céline Dion. Back in Toronto, they put their knowledge to the test on stage in competition."

Céline in "Dance with my father"
